Are these Blastomussa corals for sale UK aquacultured and healthy?

Absolutely! All our Blastomussa coral frags are aquacultured right here, meaning they're grown in controlled reef environments. This ensures they are robust, healthy, and well-acclimated to typical home aquarium conditions. We carefully inspect each frag before shipping to guarantee you receive vibrant, disease-free corals ready to thrive in your reef tank.

What are the best placement and lighting conditions for Blasto corals?

Blastomussa corals appreciate stable conditions. They do well in moderate to low-flow areas of your aquarium, as strong currents can stress them. For lighting, they prefer low to medium PAR levels, typically 50-100. Placing them in shaded areas or on the sandbed where light is less intense is often ideal. This helps their colours really pop without causing tissue damage.

How do I feed my Blastomussa corals to maintain their colour and growth?

While Blastomussa corals can get some nutrients from your aquarium's lighting (photosynthesis), they really benefit from targeted feeding. We recommend feeding them small meaty foods like brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, or specialized coral foods 1-2 times per week. Try to feed them during your aquarium's 'lights out' period or when they've extended their polyps for best results. This will boost their colour and encourage healthy growth.

Is it safe to add these Blasto corals to my existing UK reef tank?

Yes, our aquacultured Blasto corals are specifically raised to integrate well into established reef systems. Since they are lab-grown and not wild-collected, they typically have fewer risks of introducing pests or diseases. As with any new addition, we recommend a short observation period in a quarantine tank if possible, or at least introducing them to a stable area of your main display tank away from overly aggressive corals.
